This view of the Grand Lobby of the Union Station
Kansas City, shows the entrances to the durg store,
women's waiting room, the lunch rooms and res-
taurant. The portals are of brown marble and
bronze, while the floor is in pink marble with de-
signs outlined in blue. Filtered air is forced into
the station summer and winter, obviating any neces-
sity of open windows and thus eliminating smoke
and dust from locomotives in the train sheds below.
