The Salt Lake Airport is one of the most
important in the United States, being the
second largest air-mail center in the country.
It is the hub of two large operating com-
panies, carrying mail, passengers and express
throughout the Inter-mountain country and the
East and is also an important unit of the U.S.
Army. The large, modern hangars are equip-
ped with full facilities for 24 hour service per
day.
Being located adjacent to so many National
Parks, hundreds of Air travelers, commercial
and tourist, pass through this port located 4
miles due west from Salt Lake City.
