The new stadium was erected in
one year, a remarkable engineering
feat. It was finished in 1927. It
was dedicated on Oct. 22, 1927 with
the game with Ohio State University,
resulting in a score of 21-0, Mich-
igan's favor. The stadium holds
86,000 and already its capacity is
greatly exceeded by the demand for
seats. The cost was somewhat over
$1,000,000.
