Pteranodon - Prehistoric Gardens
Additional Details:
Which means "winged and toothless", was the largest of the flying reptiles, with a wing-span of 25 to 30 feet. Their fossil skeletons indicate that they were better gliders than flyers, and their huge toothless beaks indicate that they were probably fish eaters. Pteranodon became extinct 75 million years ago, and his replica may be seen at the Gardens on Oregon Coast Highway 101. |
