Looking east from the Thousand Islands International
Bridge, one sees this beautiful panorama. Canada and
the United States have jointly undertaken to provide a
new route through this section, permitting large vessels
up to 27 foot draft to navigate the 3,000 miles from the
Gulf of St. Lawrence to Lake Superior. Thousand Islands,
