WIDE-WIDE - WORLD-CAPE TOWN. Series V.
From the Cloof (a picturesque district at the foot of
Table Mountain) can be obtained a fine view. In the
foreground is Cape Town, half obscured by the luxuriant
foliage, and behind are the blue waters of Table Bay
stretching out to the Blue Colesburg Mountains 80 miles
distant, with Robben Island 12 miles away, nestling in its
midst. Cape Colony has been a British possession since
1806.
