Auburn Greeting Card Co., Auburn, Ind.
This is one of the oldest firms in Morristown.
It was established in 1862 by Wilbur F. Day,
continued by W. F. Day, Jr., and is now Man-
aged by W. F. Day, 3rd. In this building dur-
ing the Sixties and Seventies, in the Old Wash-
ington Hall, which was on the top floor, Vail
and Morse gave their first public demonstration
of the
the Telegraph, Edison demonstrated his
Phonograph and Lew Docksteader gave his first
Minstrels.
Th principle to which Day's owes its long
presperity is “Never use a substitute when the
real thing is available." Day's Ice Cream, etc.,
is still made the same way as it was in the
Sixties. Time has changed many things but
not the Products of Day's.
