acres from 114th St. to 120th St, and from
Broadway to Amsterdam Ave. The large
building with the dome is the Library, a
monumental edifice erected in 1902 at a
cost of $13,000,000. In the foreground is
the athletic field where thousands can
view exciting games between college
teams. Surrounding the field are the
buildings containing the class rooms and
dormitories.
