This small stream, which runs through the middle of the
community of Pearl River, N. Y., was once famous for the
quality of the pearls which were found in the mussels
dug from its bed. Pearl River was named after this
small stream. In the background are some of the build-
ings of Dexter Folder Company where about three hun-
dred and fifty employees manufacture quality precision
machinery for the printing and bookbinding industries.
