Cathedral From The Castle
Additional Details:
Inverness Cathedral stands in a prominent position on the banks of the Ness. It is a noble building erected in 1866 from the designs of Alexander Ross at a cost of 20,000 and possesses a fine font, modeled after that of Thorwaldsens Sculpture in the Cathedral at Copenhagen. Its two handsome Towers are 100 feet high and will be as tall again when their spires are added. |
