The Fergusson
Additional Details:
The origin of this clan is somewhat obscure, but the name appears very early in Scottish history, and, although the clan never attained great prominence as an organised force, individual members have always taken an honourable place in the national life, One of the family was a distinguished general in the Marlborough wars. Sir James Fergusson, Bart., an ex-Cabinet Minister, recently killed in the Jamaica earthquake, was head of a branch of the clan. The badge is "Fox-glove." |
