ST. PAUL'S CATHEDRAL.-The most imposing
building in the Metropolis, and situated in the
centre of the City on a hill. It was designed and
erected by Sir Christopher Wren, is 510 feet long
by 225 feet wide and 2292 feet in circumference.
The Cross, the length of which is 30 feet, is
elevated 404 feet from the foundation. The Ball
weighs 5,000 lbs., and the Cross, 3,300 lbs.
