Dice 2 cups of AUNT FANNY'S
ENRICHED BREAD (dry enough for
crumbling). Blend 1 pint of milk, 3
beaten eggs, 1/2 cup granulated sugar,
1 teaspoon vanilla and a pinch of salt.
Pour over bread, dot with small pieces
of butter, sprinkle with cinnamon or
nutmeg. Set baking dish in pan of
water and place in 350° oven. Test
from time to time with knife until
blade is dry.
