FORT FISHER - SOUTHPORT FERRY
The Fort Fisher - Southport Ferry made her maiden
run April, 1965. Shown in this photograph, the ferry
is docked for loading at the Fort Fisher terminal.
Her trip down the Cape Fear river to Southport,
N. C. takes about 45 minutes and is one of the
longest and scenic in the eastern United States
today.
