St. Catherine Cree (or Christ) Church is situated in
Leadenhall Street. It is an interesting if somewhat plain-
looking building, having become historical by reason of the
ceremonies with which Archbishop Laud consecrated it,
these ceremonies forming one of the charges in the indict-
ment at his trial. Brady, joint author of Tate and Brady's
Hymns, was its rector.
