St. Procopius Abbey and Church

The Abbey is a gem of monastic architecture nestled
among trees and meadow. Completed in 1970, the
structure contains living quarters and worship
Procopius Abbey received the 1971 American Institute of Architects'
Distinguished Building and Service Award, as well as the group's 1973
Honor Award. St. Procopius Abbey, founded in 1885 in Chicago, was offi-
cially relocated to Lisle in 1914.
