My Labor Day weekend telethon is a labor of love, love
for the many thousands of kids – like Scotty Swift here,
MDAA's national poster child cruelly and progressively
crippled by dystrophy. When I tell you that dystrophy has
already claimed the life of one of Scotty's brothers, and that
another is in a wheelchair, I guess I don't have to say any
more.
My marathon TV spectacular will raise funds for the all-out
fight against this tragic disease and related neuromuscular
disorders which afflict millions. It's going to be a powerhouse
of entertainment sparkling with the brightest stars of show
business. So be sure to tune in!
