In May each year, Riverside stages a pageant in honor
of California's $500,000,000 citrus industry and in com-
memoration of the planting of the two parent navel
trees by Mr wbets in 1873. Every nas-
cultur
marketing of the orange is presented in
corated floats. The annual Orange Dinner
following the pageant. Thousands of

fruit in its shrine on Magnolia Avenue.
