FALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS
The original ship's bell of the Battleship MASSA-
CHUSETTS is rung in true Navy tradition by a U.S.
Sea Cadet on duty at Battleship Cove, Fall River,
to the delight of thousands of visitors. In 1965,
the Battleship was saved from scrapping by the
contributions of school children and Massachusetts
citizens. It is now the World War II Memorial to
13,000 war dead of the Commonwealth and open
to the public year 'round.
