The "Little Switzerland" of Ohio. This area abounds
with Swiss Cheese factories; the majority of its in-
habitants are either natives of Switzerland or of Swiss
ancestry; the business section has taken on the
appearance of an Alpine Village. The surrounding
countryside is farmed by the Amish and there are a
number of Swiss dairy farms. The 18 cheese factories
in the area annually convert 110 million pounds of
milk into 8 million pounds of Swiss Cheese.
