| Hundreds of sport fishermen leave the docks at Montauk, in open and party boats, for a day of fun and fishing. Many try their luck at fishing in the surf. The waters around Montauk (Block Island Sound, Gardiners Bay and the Atlantic Ocean) abound in swordfish, marlin, bluefish, striped bass and many other species.
