Hershey Park has more than a score of amuse-
ments that stir the emotions with a feeling of
excitement, producing thrills. Here's the
Comet, the largest roller coaster in America,
that has a sheer drop of 85 feet across Spring
Creek. The ups and downs are approximately
three-quarters of a mile long. In the fore-
ground is the twin Ferris Wheel, 66 feet high.
Alongside are the Mill Chute, with its big
downward plunge; the Auto Skooter, where
the driver has fun in bumping into other cars;
the Bug with cars that sway upwards and
downwards at a stiff pace and the Whipperoo,
which acquires enormous speed as it goes
around curves. In the distance is the big
Athletic Field, where often aerial acts take
place. At the left is Spring Creek, used for
boating and alongside is the terminal of the
Miniature Railroad.
