Many of the old buildings are still in use.
The pounding of the heavy miners boots as
they walked along this street in the 60's arous-
es one's imagination. Try to visualize what
a gay city it must have been, with that preci-
ous yellow metal, GOLD every where. In fact,
approx. 300 million dollars was extracted from
the placer gravels of the BOISE BASIN.
