23, 1912, at Hamburg, Germany,
and christened “Imperator" by Hs
Majesty Emperor William the sett
ond. The Bronze Eagle with the STA
Imperial Crown was designed by
Professor Bruno Kruse of Berlin,
Germany. Length, 920 feet 6 inches;
breadth, 98 feet; 57,000 tons dis-
placement; speed, 22 12 knots an
hour. There are 15 decks, gym-
nasiums, swimming pools, winter
garden, grill room, restaurant, pri-
vate dining rooms, etc. Maiden trip,
June 11, 1913, from Hamburg. Ca-
pacity, 4,200 passengers; 1,180 crew.
