Taken June 15th, 1908, showing the Drovers Telegram and
Transit House on the right, the horse barns on the left and the
Kansas City Live Stock Exchange Building in the distance. The
water came within 7 ft., 103 in. of the great flood in June 1903.
The receipts of the thirteen days of high water (June 8th to
21st inclusive) were 7178 cattle, 457 calves, 16,890 hogs and
24.000 sheep as against 70,086 cattle, 10,619 calves, 145,200
hogs and 24,000 sheep during the same period last year.

the cattle market twice at $8,00 per 8
cwt. also the hog market a $65
per cwt.
CITY
We sold for Harvey Pigg, Orrick,
Mo., 59 head avg. 1414 lbs. at $8.00
which is the highest sale made for
several years on cattle fed corn and
grass.
We sold for Harvey Hart, Hiawa-
tha, Kans. 45 head avg. 1204 lbs. for
$8.00 being the highest price for
several years for cattle of these
weights.
