The present Montgomery County Court House
is perhaps the most outstanding landmark in the
county today. It is constructed of Missouri
limestone, red pressed brick, and terra cotta and
at the time of construction cost in excess of
$100,000.00. A crowd of 10,000 attended the
controversial dedication July 4, 1890.
