"THE DAWLEY HOUSE." Home of Capt. Daniel
V. Dawley. Built in the year 1850. Capt.
Dawley was a famous river boat Captain and
operated his boats from LeClaire, Iowa where
this house and other historical landmarks are
located; among them the famous "GREEN TREE"
of Buffalo Bill fame. Many relics are found in
the Cody Museum at LeClaire, Iowa on Route 80
and the Mississippi River - Iowa side.
