| John Thomas Grant, a Virginian, built this outstanding Greek Revival residence with its 14 Corinthian columns extending around the three "sunny sides" of the structure. Doric columns at the back of the house face a nine-acre garden which has been the scene of many social functions since the University acquired the house in 1949. |
