The Arch, Broad Street at College Avenue

| The Arch, entrance to the campus, is modeled after the Great Seal of the State of Georgia. It and the iron fence were erected in 1857. The three columns of the arch represents wisdom, justice and moderation. It has been a long standing tradition that no freshman may pass through it. |
