A self-sufficient existence on the sea is possible thanks to such features of
Aquapolis as an independent electric power plant and an apparatus to convert
sea water into fresh water. Aquapolis is also well equipped with anti-pollution
devices including disposal systems for both sewage and garbage. Aqua Farming
located between Aquapolis and Sunset Plaza, is a 52,000-square-meter area
of ocean enclosed by a net. Boasting a fish population of over 50,000 edible
varieties, the farm is the source of Aquapolis's food supply. Aqua Farming
has many interesting features such as an automatic feeding machine and a
sound transmitter to signal the fish at feeding time. The activity at Aqua Farming
can perhaps best be appreciated by a visit to one of the film presentations at
the Aqua screen.
