| Built in 1872, old Mackinaw Lighthouse now stands inactive along the Straits of Mackinac shores since 1957 when lights and fog horn were moved to the towers of the Mackinac Bridge (seen in background). There is a possibility that a marine museum may some day open the picturesque old lighthouse to the public. |
