WE know Americans, who think
that "Chinese Food" - means only
Chop Suey and Chow Mein. But
we pride ourselves on digging
out new gourmetian pleasures,
like treasures found in the bot-
tom of a lashing sea. And so we
befriend the curious, who have a
constant yen for new experiences
in food.
The WHITE RICE INN,
320 Park Ave., has the type of
Chinese food that you can well
imagine the characters in any of
Lin Yutang's books to devour.
The menu 'itself smacks of an
Eastern difference. WHITE
RICE INN serves a Family
Dinner at all hours. We have
anything from Bok Toy to Moo Ko
Gai Pen, and the prices are reason-
able. But if you're still harping
on Chow Mein and Chop Suey,
you may have either.
There's nothing Chinese about
the decor of our place, except
the Chinaware. Its modern booths
and tables would shock the
celestial gods, but our food is
really good.
