The HENRY FORD II in the MacArthur Lock,
downbound from Lake Superior. Ships being lowered
or raised in the locks is an ever fascinating drama,
appreciated by more and more visitors each year.
The difference in water level between Lake Superior,
lower St. Mary's River and Lake Huron is ap-
proximately 22 ft.
