The "Old Black Bridge", as Frankenmuthers refer to it, is located on Dehmel Road, one mile west of downtown Frankenmuth, Bridge spans the Cass River named after former territorial Governor of Michigan, Lewis Cass. This steel construction creates nostalgic foreground to sty. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Church was named after home churches of founding fathers - St. Laurentius in Neuendettelsau and Rosstal and St. Lorenz in Nuernberg.
