PROPOSED TORREY-GRAY AUDITORIUM-Architect's
sketch of auditorium named in honor of Dr. Reuben A.
Torrey, first superintendent, and Dr. James M. Gray,
former president of the Institute. Building is partially
completed today with a lower auditorium seating 1,800 in
constant use. When finished the main auditorium will
house about 3,000. Located on LaSalle Street, north of
Chicago Avenue.
