St. Lukes Hospital is located on 113th Street opposite
the grounds of Cathedral of St. Johns, the Devine. It
was founded in 1860 by Dr. Muhlenburg and originally
located at 5th Avenue and 54th Street. The present
building was finished in 1896. the building and grounds
being valued at $3,300,000. The Hospital has a capacity
for 350 patients.
