INTERIOR OF AUDITORIUM.
The Auditorium of St. Paul is the first and only
building in the world which has been equipped with
the peculiar devices which provide for its almost in-
stantaneous transformation from a theatre to a great
public hall, a city block in length. As a theatre,
utilizing one-third of the space, the building seats
3,200 people; as a public auditorium it seats 10,000
people. The structure is built throughout of stone,
brick, steel and concrete, and is absolutely fireproof.
