CITY OF HOPE Duarte, California
The City of Hope is a non-sectarian National Medical
Center dedicated to alleviating the suffering of those
afflicted with catastrophic diseases such as, Cancer,
Leukemia, Hodgkins Disease and Tuberculosis. It is founded
on faith, and began in 1913 with two tents set up in the
desert at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains. Through
the years it has grown to a CITY, on seventy-five beautifully
landscaped acres. Without reserves or trust funds it operates
on day to day contributions.
