THE TWINS.-Who is there that has them that
is not proud of them? Rich or poor, high or low, it
makes no difference; everybody ho can say,
ho can say, "These
are mine; twins, you see"-meantime pointing to a pair
of little tots-feels as though the whole world ought
to envy him. Nobody counts the care that comes with
them; everybody thinks of the comfort they bring.
Even when sickness comes, and days of weariness follow
nights of watching, no one complains-for the twins
are the light of the household; and if that light grows
dim and fears come, suggesting flickering and fading
life, who is too tired to minister to the sick one?
How much better is it to keep the children
well than to nurse them back to health! That ounce
of prevention," how much easier is it to prescribe and
take than the pound of cure. Some children, growing
too fast and from other causes, become listless, fretful,
without energy, thin and weak; but you can fortify and
build them up by the use of Scott's Emulsion
