BOSNIA.
A territory of Europe, enclosed by Dalmacia,
Slavonia, Servia, Albania and Montenegro. It was
formerly a Turkish Vilayet, but is now under
Austro-Hungary. The country is very mountainous
and better adapted to grazing and stock raising
than to the cultivation of grains. Fruits are an
abundant product, especially prunes. The Bos-
nians are of Slavic stock, finely formed and intelli-
gent. This young man in his picturesque national
dress is a fair type of the average Bosnian. The
Singer Machine has found its way into the moun-
tain and valley homes of Bosnia and large num-
bers are sold annually.
