Wawona Tree. In the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees in Yosemite
National Park stands this world renowned tree. The Wawona Tree
measures about 86 feet around at the base and stands 231 feet high.
A highspot of a trip to the Grove is a drive through this tunnel which
was cut into the base of the tree in 1881.
