Replica of Ancient Furniture
May Be Displayed at the Next World's Fair
This striking and only one of its kind, table and chairs are made from Myrtlewood. This is a
beautiful and scarce type of wood grown only around the Holy Land and in small amounts in
Southwest Oregon. The piece that made this table is supposedly the largest piece of Myrtlewood
known.
The design, as far as can be determined from history, is comparable to a table and chairs used by
King Solomon many centuries before Christ. Also this wood is the same as used in the finishing
of the ancient temples of that period.
This set was designed, carved and built by some of the World's best craftsmen. The table is
nearly eight feet the longest way across and nearly six feet the shortest way across. Has six
beautiful hand-carved straight chairs and two matching hostess chairs. The base of the table is
of the same wood and is of large and heavy dimension all carved to match the chairs.
A set that is truly a rare and beautiful piece of art which would grace and add charm to the
finest of homes. It can be seen at any time in the Call of the Wild Museum, located at Junction
U.S. Hwy.160 & 67 - South of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
