sion of this popular twin-engine Piper executive transport and
commuter airliner incorporates new cabin comfort features, new
instrument panel and other improvements for even easier flight
operation, and striking new paint design offered in 16 different
color combinations. Aircraft carries six people in quiet, luxurious
comfort, plus 300 pounds of luggage in two separate compartments
-in the nose and behind the cabin. Aztec D, with normally aspir-
ated, fuel-injected 250 hp engines, tops 216 mph, cruises 210
mph. Turbocharged Turbo Aztec D cruises 217 mph at 5,000', 228
mph at 12,000' and 250 mph at 24,000'. 144 gallon fuel capacity
gives range up to 1300 miles. Aztec is widely used the world over
by business firms, private pilots, air taxi/charter services, scheduled
commuter airlines, government agencies and military forces includ-
ing the U.S. Navy.
