JESUS CHRIST-
The Hope Of The World
Dear Friends:
Last summer the World Council of
Churches met in Evanston, Illinois, and
CHRIST THE HOPE OF THE WORLD.
This is the first time that a major segment
of the church has concerned itself with the
doctrine of the Second Coming of Christ.
His return to fully establish his Kingdom
is the only hope of a world that lingers on
the brink of atomic warfare.
In these Sunday Evening Sermons, I shall
attempt to set forth the general outline of
the New Testament teachings on the re-
turn of Christ. The attempt will be made
to stress the great truths held by all who
look for the return of the Lord and to re-
concile, when possible, the needlessly hos-
tile schools of prophetic interpretation.
Your presence and prayers are deeply de-
sired, that we shall all grow into the like-
ness of Him whom having not seen we love.
In friendship,
ROBERT J. LAMONT
