Designed to bring big-jet comfort and dependability
to short-to-medium-range routes, the 737 twinjet
offers a passenger cabin as wide as the 707. It is the
smallest member of the Boeing family of jetliners.
Since first entering service in February 1968, the
737 has established outstanding safety and reliability
records. The twinjet can carry from 115 to 135
passengers at altitudes up to 35,000 feet (10 668 m).
It cruises at more than 575 miles an hour (925 km/h)
and has a range up to 1,900 miles (3040 km). The
737 has a wingspan of 93 feet (28,4 m), a length of
100 feet (30,5 m), and a tail height of 37 feet (11,3 m).
