When The Walt Disney Company set out to create a premiere line
of animation art sculpture, a real concern was "can character sculptures
capture the same nuances of personality, emotion and movement seen
in the original two-dimensional animation?"
The answer was found by going straight to the experts - the animators
of The Walt Disney Studios - who create the original animation and
now lend their expertise to each phase of production of the Walt Disney
Classics Collection. Their vision and guidance are key reasons these sculp-
tures are able to convey so much emotion, like Donald's head-over-heels
feelings for his beloved Daisy, and the joyful exuberance of his nephews.
