Walt Disney's first feature-length cartoon, once known as "Disney's
folly," is now hailed as Disney's masterpiece. Based upon the
famous Grimm's fairy tale, Snow White was awarded a large golden
Oscar and seven small ones in 1939. To escape her wicked step-
mother, Snow White kept house for the Seven Dwarfs in their cot-
tage in the forest. Dopey, Grumpy, Sneezy, Happy, Bashful, Doc,
and Sleepy watched over her until Prince Charming woke her from
the wicked Queen's spell, and rode off with her to his castle in the
clouds.
