CINDERELLA
This most romantic rags-to-riches fairy tale from Charles Perrault
continues to be one of the great favorites of audiences today. The
lovely girl whose stepmother forced her to wear ragged clothes and
do all the hardest work in the house went to the Prince's ball with
the help of her fairy godmother. Told she must leave the ball
promptly at midnight, Cinderella ran down the stairs as the clock
was striking twelve. One of her tiny glass slippers fell off, and
that was the clue that enabled the Prince to find her and marry
her. They all lived happily ever after.
