ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Lewis Carroll's charming story of Alice's Adventures in Wonder-
land became a musical that Walt Disney and a staff of 750 artists
worked on for nearly two years. When Alice tumbled down the
rabbit hole that long-ago "golden afternoon," she met a group of
zany characters, among them the March Hare and the Mad Hatter.
At a table set out under a tree they were having tea at an unbirth-
day party, and Alice joined them. The comedian Ed Wynn supplied
the voice and his famous giggle for the Mad Hatter, Jerry Colonna's
vocal mannerisms became the March Hare's.
