MOUNT CALVARY ALTAR
Calvary, the Altar being a copy of the original in Jerusalem.
In the large Crucifixion panel Our Lord's Disciples are rep-
resented at left, with St. John and the Blessed Mother
standing beside the Cross, while Mary Magdalene kneels
at its foot and the Penitent Thief looks pleadingly toward
the Saviour. At the right of the panel overshadowed by the
approaching darkness which marked Christ's death, are his
enemies. In the background is the Holy City of Jerusalem.
